Do you serve business or home users? |
We are able to provide
great service to both. We are available during extended
business hours for the former, and we can perform service
calls on Saturdays and two late evenings each week to help
those home users who cannot be available during the working
day. |
Do you charge by the hour? |
It depends on the job. We are able to fix
the price for many jobs, such as installation, upgrades,
virus cleaning, computer tuning etc.
We also practice price capping, where we
state the maximum number of hours that you will be billed, even if the job takes
longer.
Where we do have to charge based on time, we bill by the ¼ hour rather than the full
hour. See Pricing for details. |
Which areas do you serve? |
Please see our service map.
We will travel within the dark gray area (approx 25 miles)
with no travel charge. We will be delighted to work within
the light gray area with a $25 travel charge (per round
trip), while travel to unshaded areas will be charged at 70%
of our hourly rate for the travel time and our regular rate after arrival.
For the unshaded areas, we do require return travel as well. |
Do you work on-site or from your own workshop? |
Both. We are able to work on site, and do
not charge travel time at all if you are within a 30-mile
radius of our location. We are also able to work on
your computer in our own workshop - we will collect the
computer from you and return it on completion at no extra
cost.
While there is no extra charge for on-site work,
some jobs can be less expensive if done at our workshop
because we can do other things while long processes are
taking place on your computer. All workshop jobs are either
fixed-price or billed only for the hours spent directly
working on your computer. |
What times can you make service calls? |
We normally make appointments during the following times: |

Saturday |
9am to 5pm |
Calls outside these hours are covered by our 24/7 callout service. |
Do I get any help after using your services? |
Yes. All of our work is covered by our guarantees:
- Satisfaction. If for any reason you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, or if a problem
re-occurs, call us within 60 days of completion so that we can undertake corrective work.
- Parts. We use parts from high quality and reputable manufacturers, who provide their own
warranties. We add to these warranties with our own extension: if any part that we fit has to be replaced
under the manufacturers warranty, we will remove it from your computer (if necessary) and fit the replacement free of charge.

Do you service laptops? |
We carry out both hardware and software repairs on laptops, but...
Hardware repairs can take rather longer than for desktop computers. This is
because many laptops use a large number of proprietary parts which are not nearly as interchangeable as between desktop
computers. This also leads to often higher part prices.
Laptop internal work is often highly complex and must normally be charged at our hourly rate with certain
exceptions. These exceptions include memory upgrades, battery replacement, installing or replacing modular CD/DVD drives etc.

We can build a desktop computer to your exact specification. All computers that we supply are
hand-built using only quality parts from top manufacturers. We provide full after sales service. Please contact us with
your needs.
Unfortunately, we are unable to supply laptop computers at this time, but are looking at ways to do so.
